Biography of Dr. Karl Kutz

Karl Kutz was born and raised in Libby, Montana, in a Christian home with a rich heritage of pastoral ministry and missions. After being ordained in 1985, Kutz served for two and one-half years as an associate pastor in Bozeman, Montana. He then moved to Wisconsin to pursue graduate work in biblical languages at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Kutz has been the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions, including Delta Epsilon Chi Honor Society; Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges; The Mansoor Award, Wisconsin Society for Jewish Learning; Teaching Assistant Mentor Award, University of Wisconsin-Madison; and Graduate Research Fellow, University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, Evangelical Theological Society, and the International Organization of Septuagint and Cognate Studies.

Kutz and his wife, Laurie, were married in 1984. His hobbies include woodworking, martial arts, fencing, and sailing.
