Early Admission
Do you want to take classes at Multnomah University while you're still in high school? Our Early Admission program allows qualified students an opportunity to study at Multnomah while still completing their high school program!
In order to qualify for this program, applicants must have completed their junior year of high school and received a satisfactory score on the SAT 1. Applicants who already have completed their senior year of high school are not eligible. Further, students must receive grades of "C" or better to remain in this program.
Application Procedures for Early Admission
- Obtain Multnomah University's application for admission and two recommendation forms (one for your pastor and one for your high school principal or counselor). For more information, please contact the Student Enrollment office at 1.800.275.4672 or admiss@multnomah.edu.
- Complete the application and return it to the Admissions Office with the required $40 application fee and choice of courses. Also, have the two reference forms completed and sent to the Admissions Office.
- Request a copy of your high school transcript be sent to Multnomah.
- Request a copy of SAT Reasoning Test scores to be sent to Multnomah. Be sure to use our school's code number of 4496.
- Usually within two weeks of receiving the completed application the applicant will be contacted with admission and registration information. The deadline is August 1 for entrance to the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester.
- Early admission students must provide proof of health insurance.
- Only one course of no more than four credit hours may be taken during any regular semester, unless a lightened high school load is documented.
- Students with good standing in this program are admitted automatically to the university upon graduation from high school. All additional transcripts must be received before university enrollment.
Cost and Credit
- Early admission students are limited to a maximum of 12 total credits and the tuition is $100.00 per credit.
- Credit during early admission may be applied to degree programs at Multnomah University without additional charge.
- Credit earned during early admission may be transferred to other colleges or universities after paying regular tuition and fees. (Amount due based on rates charged at the time the course was taken at MU.)
- After completing sixty semester hours (two years) at MU, a student may transfer the hours taken during early admission without additional payment.
