John Mayner, Director of Admissions jmayner@multnomah.edu John completed both his Associate and Bachelor’s degrees at Multnomah in the mid 80’s. Although his plans were to work in vocational ministry, the Lord allowed him the opportunity to serve on active duty with the Air Force and minister there. During his 26 year career he worked on flight lines, rigged aircraft and loads for airdrops, recruited, and worked at the Headquarters for the Air Force Reserve Command. In 2003 he retired from the Air Force and became the Pastor of a church in Sandy, OR while completing his M.Div. Although he still teaches at various churches, he came to Multnomah after 5 years of being a pastor. Since arriving here he has worked as both an Assistant Registrar and now as Director of Admissions. He loves cooking, reading, fishing/crabbing, scuba diving, and playing ‘Settlers of Catan.’ He has been married to his wife, Melody, for 29 years and they have two sons; Robert who is in the service and Andrew who attends college.

Lisa Hezmalhalch, College Admissions Counselor lisahez@multnomah.edu Lisa loves the Lord and desires to follow Him no matter what. This attitude brought her up to Multnomah in 2004 from the San Francisco Bay Area in the sunny state of California. Lisa graduated from Multnomah in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Theology with a second major in Journalism. Lisa loves to write, but enjoys talking more and hopes to pursue a Masters Degree in Counseling. Lisa also loves people. In fact, Lisa loves a lot of things. She loves music and has been called the human jukebox. She also loves Disneyland, Paris, San Francisco, the Muppets (especially Kermit), her family, her friends and 25-cent toys from those machines at the grocery store. Lisa is easily excitable and laughs a lot. She is actually well known for her laugh and, if she finds something especially funny, can be heard laughing within a one block radius. Lisa would love to help you as you grow deeper in your walk with the Lord no matter where life leads you. But of course, she’d love to see you at Multnomah. Call her, e-mail her, or find her on myspace and facebook! She’s excitedly here for you!

Jodi Pater, Admissions and Financial Aid Executive Assistant jpater@multnomah.edu Jodi grew up in North Carolina, and, after her and her husband, Casey, were married in 2004, they moved to Hawaii where Casey served in the Marine Corps. In Hawaii, Jodi graduated from Hawaii’s Pacific University with her Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science on May 16, 2007. Shortly after she graduated from college, their son, Aden, was born (June 21, 2007). It was there in Hawaii where they met Ray and Char Hauser (missionaries for Cadence International) who helped Jodi and Casey build a strong and lasting marriage relationship that was Christ centered. After being mentored by the Hauser’s, Jodi and Casey made the decision to come to Multnomah University in June 2008 so Casey could go to school to learn about the Bible and to come more equipped to teach others about Christ. Jodi has been working in the Admission’s department since August 21, 2008. She enjoys her job and looks forward to coming to work so she can serve the Lord with her daily tasks. Outside of work, she enjoys hanging out with her family, hiking, swimming, camping, gardening, card making, scrap booking, photography, baking, and knitting.

Evan Reedall, Admissions Student Representative evanreedall@multnomah.edu Evan is a Colorado boy who has fallen in love with Life because he has fallen in love with the Lord. Experiencing life is his desire. Traveling, hiking, snowboarding, tennis, a good walk, or a good BBQ with family and friends are some of his favorites. He prefers sandals over shoes, a good nap over a cup of coffee, and a good conversation over a loud party. But don’t think that this guy doesn’t know how to party, for YMCA Camp Counselor is his summer gig and swing dancing all over Portland is his winter-time outlet. He desires his epitaph to say something like “He loved well and lived full.”
