What makes Multnomah Bible College unique? One of the key differences between Multnomah and other Christian colleges is our dedication to Bible and theology. At Multnomah, every student majors in Bible and theology, taking at least fifty-two credit hours of Bible education. They also have the opportunity to select a second major or minor in one of nine categories. The goal of all of our programs is that our students take the knowledge they learn and apply it to their lives and in the world! Everything learned in the classroom is designed to prepare students for ministry whether in the church or in the secular marketplace. We want students to have their foundation in Christ and to excel in a trade.
In addition to our classroom focus on the Bible, our faculty and staff encourage personal growth in Christ. Several chapel services each week, monthly days of prayer and outreach, student ministry and internship requirements, spring Missionary Conference, small-group accountability, and an inclusive campus atmosphere all endeavor to develop the student's personal relationship with Christ. We believe that Multnomah graduates who know God's Word, have developed their walks with the Lord, and have fulfilled their educational goals are well prepared for life.
Another distinctive of Multnomah is the intentional component of mentorship on our campus. Students, faculty, and staff get to know one another outside of the classroom and office. One way this is modeled is during the lunch hour. Multnomah pays for all of their employees to enjoy lunch with students Monday through Friday in our dining facility. On any given day, students might be having lunch with their professor, the nurse, and the president of Multnomah, all at the same table!
