Meet the Admissions Team

Penny Rader,
Seminary Admissions Counselor
pennyr@multnomah.edu
A native of Oregon, Penny enjoys the diversity that the northwest has to offer: the beaches, the mountains, and the diverse urban culture. Having grown up on a Hazelnut farm, she is known to be "nuts" about her family, and thoroughly enjoys spending time with them. Her immediate family consists of a small miniature rabbit named Raindrop, distinct with her black fur and one white drop on her nose. Penny is a graduate of George Fox University and a recent graduate of Multnomah Seminary with her Master's degree in Ministry Management. Penny enjoys a good baseball game, the great outdoors, traveling, reading, and she loves it when the Oregon sky produces sunbeams! She is excited to see God transfrom the lives of students and looks forward to hearing your story!

Naomi Abdilla,
Seminary Admissions Counselor
naomia@multnomah.edu
Naomi was born and raised in Portland. She is a graduate of George Fox University with a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish. After graduation, she spent a year as a missionary in Salamanca, Spain ministering to children and youth. Her dream is to return to Spain someday as a full-time missionary with her husband, Jason. She loves the Spanish language, people, and culture. She recently graduated from Multnomah Biblical Seminary in 2006 from the MAPS: Intercultural Studies program. Her heart’s passion is to live and speak Christ wherever she is and in whatever she is doing and to know Him and His Word more deeply.

Colin Wyenberg,
College Admissions Counselor
colinw@multnomah.edu
Although he has lived in North Dakota, Southern California, and Texas, he considers the Northwest home. Colin graduated from Multnomah in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Theology with a second major in Educational Ministries! Colin and his wife Nicole love doing a number of different things including snowboarding, the "occasional" video game, playing with their two pet bunnies, and hanging out with friends. The most recent addition to the Wyenberg family is Lizzy, their Puggle.  Her full name is Miss Elizabeth Bennett, but she goes by Lizzy.  When Colin is not in the office you can usually find him playing with Lizzy at a dog park or working on his yard while Lizzy watches. Colin likes to "hit things" and has been playing drums for 8 years. He played in the worship band Forgivenmuch for 3 years and loves making noise with other musicians! Colin would love nothing more than to help others find their passions and pursue them. Give him a call, send him an email, or instant message him! (MSN ID: colinw@multnomah.edu)

Becca Sue Congdon,
College Admissions Counselor
beccasuec@multnomah.edu
After taking classes in the Educational Ministry and Youth Ministry programs, Becca Sue finally settled on Psychology and managed to be Multnomah’s first graduate with a Psychology Minor (the program started Fall 2007). During her time at Multnomah, Becca Sue worked as a Resident Assistant, as a student caller in the Advancement Department, and as a Student Rep for Admissions. What she loves most about her current position is the opportunity to assist her brothers and sisters in Christ as they make major college and life decisions. In her free time, Becca Sue enjoys catching up with her girlfriends, investing in her church (Coram Deo Fellowship) and spending time with her husband, Daniel. She is still planning to get a kitty – and would like to name him Potato when she does – we’ll keep you posted.

Raydene Taylor,
Correspondence Coordinator
deet@multnomah.edu
The daughter of a pastor and missionary, Dee has been immersed in ministry settings from a very young age. Prior to earning her bachelor's degree in Education from Seattle Pacific University in 1960, she attended Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada. Dee earned her Master of Education degree from Seattle Pacific in 1968, and taught elementary school in East Wenatchee, Washington for two years. Beginning in 1964, Dee served as a missionary with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism in the Philippines. She taught in a missionary school for two years before being involved in a variety of other ministries with Filipinos along with raising a young Filipino boy whose mother had died. Dee returned to the states in June 2002, and the Lord directed her steps to serve as the Correspondence Coordinator at Multnomah.

Jamie Hall,
Recruitment Office Coordinator
jamieh@multnomah.edu
Jamie grew up in an Air Force family and has lived several places, including Japan and Germany. So she isn't technically "from" anywhere, but chooses to call Colorado Springs, Colorado home. Jamie is a proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie class of '04, graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science in elementary education. She currently is attending Multnomah Biblical Seminary and anticipates graduating in May of 2008 with a master's degree in Pastoral Studies. Jamie eventually wants to work with orphans and street children in eastern Europe, especially in the area of keeping infants from becoming developmentally disabled. Of all the drinks on the planet, Jamie believes that Diet Coke reigns supreme. She also believes that polar bears are the best animals, blue and pink are the best colors, fried okra is the best food and that the moon is the most beautiful thing in existence. She is an avid fan of the tv shows HOUSE, The Office and Friends and of comedic movies in general. Jamie is extremely fond of her job at Multnomah because of the Jesus-centered atmosphere and because her co-workers are so much fun.

Haley Baker,
Student Representative
haleyb@multnomah.edu
A west-coast girl that loves the Mediterranean, Haley Baker is a Multnomah Junior that enjoys adventure. Originally from California, she’s also lived in Italy, Idaho, and now Oregon. As a student rep, Haley enjoys sharing Multnomah with prospective students. Her positive experiences while applying to Multnomah and as a current student now motivate her to extend the same excellent service to others. Haley enjoys going to coffee with friends, discovering new things about Portland (her favorite place she’s lived so far), art, and getting in tickle fights with her valiant husband Rick, whom she met freshman year. Together they enjoy traveling, hiking, reading, cooking, bike riding, and family! After she gets her B.S. at Multnomah, Haley hopes to study International Law and she and Rick want to work overseas where they can “preach good news to the poor and bind up the brokenhearted…”(Isaiah 61). Before they get there, though, they hope to have several ice cream sundae parties in their new home, considering Haley’s sincere obsession with hot fudge. The Bakers don’t have any pets yet, but Haley is seriously considering getting a baby hippo (as long as it doesn’t eat any of her hot fudge).

Ashley Gruber,
Student Representative
ashleygruber@multnomah.edu
Ashley moved from a small town in Pennsylvania to Portland when she started at Multnomah in 2005. She fell in love with the North West as soon as she got here and considers it her home now. She loves snowboarding, hiking, cliff jumping, and anything else that her less adventurous friends consider “extreme.” She loves playing guitar and drums, photography, being involved at her church (Coram Deo Fellowship), and drinking coffee and spending quality time with her friends. After she graduates from MBC Ashley wants to work at a challenge course to get practical experience so that one day she can open up a high ropes course in Europe.

Trent Price,
Student Representative
trentprice@multnomah.edu
Often referred to as the Lone Star Ranger or even “Trenty” by his wife, this born and bred Texas boy moved to Portland to attend Multnomah three and a half years ago and has not looked back since. He takes his job as Student Representative Extraordinaire very seriously and loves the opportunity he gets to interact with and assist prospective students. Trent enjoys music, the color green, and long walks on the beach. Back off though ladies, for he already has a Mrs., whom he met at Multnomah. He loves literature, riding his bicycle, dogs, swimming in the river, hiking, and spending time with his wife. Trent feels immensely blessed to be alive and takes joy in any opportunity he gets to see Jesus bless others!
