Once an MAC student has graduated from the program, he or she will follow the state's guidelines for become a registered intern. Each state has its own guidelines and protocols, so be sure to check your state’s website for up-to-date information.
Multnomah’s MAC program is consistent with those courses required for Oregon Licensure as laid out in Oregon Law 833-060-0042 (2). As a program of Multnomah University, the Master of Arts in Counseling is accredited by the Northwest Commission of Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
The program is designed to provide a high quality training experience in counseling incorporating a strong practical emphasis and an interdisciplinary perspective based on biblical, theological, and ethical concerns.
Students who complete the 61-credit MAC degree program will meet the current education requirements for licensure in Oregon as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
