Where I come from
I am a Portland area resident for the last 10 years. I was born and raised in Washington State.
Why I teach at Multnomah
I am honored to teach and lead with my Multnomah colleagues as we answer the challenges of modern life through faith, learning and collaboration.
Education and Research
I’m an active performer, teacher, and composer in many genres of music throughout the Northwest. I am continually working on a variety of book/article publications, compositions, performances and educational technique/research and am involved in committee work at colleges and universities in the area.
I’m currently working on my Doctorate in Educational Leadership – Higher Education Administration from Washington State University. My research focuses on State Level equity and assessment leadership in Washington State.
While fulfilling a Graduate Teaching Assistant Award, I earned my M.M. in Percussion Performance from Eastern Washington University. I also received my B.M. in Percussion Performance and Music Composition from EWU.
I also teach at Clark College, Warner Pacific College, and Mount Hood Community College as well as select extra-curricular private lesson students. Recently, I entered into the Marylhurst University Music Faculty where I will be teaching an exciting Group Drumming and Leadership class.
I perform in a variety of musical settings in the area including The Ben Moll Jazz Group, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and a Modern chamber-music collaboration with other area professors and performers.
