What I love about MU
I love the community that Multnomah creates! It feels like you’re a part of a big, loving family. The people here really care about you and want to know what’s going on in your life.
Advice I would give new students
Set goals for yourself and stick with them. Work hard but still make time to play! A huge part of college is about relationships; talk with your professors, make friends with your roommates and people in your dorm and classes. Your friendships from college will stay with you your whole life.
Favorite thing to do in Reno
I love going to Lake Tahoe, especially in the summer to swim! It’s absolutely gorgeous and there are lots of things to do. My husband and I love going on walks through the local parks, especially Caughlin Ranch Park. I also enjoy going to the movies and shopping.
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by his love; He will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17
Best part of my job
Talking with prospective students and helping them figure out the best path to take so they can succeed in their life goals.
Why I chose Multnomah
I worked at another Christian university in California and loved my time there! When my husband and I moved to Reno, we longed for that type of community and environment again and then we discovered Multnomah. I love Multnomah’s mission to equip students to go out and serve in the world, and that is especially important here in Reno. Multnomah raises up people to make a difference where the Lord is calling them to go.
Who I spend my time with
I spend most of my time with my amazing husband, friends, and church family.
What I do outside of work
Serve in my church, sing and play the piano, play games with my husband, watch movies, cook, dance, swim, and read.
Talent I wish I had
I’d love to be a professional ballroom dancer!
Favorite thing to eat/drink
Tea and scones!
The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
Something unique about me
One of my life goals is to voice a cartoon character. Preferably something from Disney.
