Where I come from
Born in Albany, Oregon, I graduated from the nursing program at the Oregon Health Science University. Realizing that my gifts and interests lay in helping people work through emotional and spiritual needs as well as problem solving in life direction I furthered my educational through an M.ED in Counseling. I spent 16 years involved as a pastor's wife, served four years as Dean of Women at Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama, and served as Dean of Students at Multnomah Seminary from 1988-2010. I provide leadership to several church-related ministries including small-group discipleship and seminar/retreat speaking, often addressing the areas of relationships, marriage, spiritual formation, and spiritual giftedness in ministry while teaching pastoral counseling courses as an adjunct professor at the seminary. Currently I serve as Career Services Co-coordinator since 2014, focusing on helping students and alumni discover how God can best use their skills and gifting for His kingdom, as well as coaching in resume writing, networking, and job placement.
Family and extra-curricular, non-ministry activities
I am the wife of Dr. John Wecks, and am the mother of two grown daughters, both married to lead pastors in the Portland area. My interests include swimming, sewing, home decorating, frequenting garage sales, and strolling on the beach.
