Where I come from

I have called the beautiful Pacific Northwest home my entire life. I grew up in the Seattle area and spent my early college years in Oregon at both Corban and then Multnomah, where I met my husband, Ryan. We have three kids, and we enjoy attending their sporting events, hiking, biking, camping and star-gazing in all the magnificent venues the Northwest offers. Cannon Beach, Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainier, Bend and the Columbia River Gorge are some of my favorites.

My MU story

After completing two years at MU in the early 1990’s, I entered the workforce and then was a stay-at-home mom to my kids for 11 years. Toward the end of that time, God prompted me to complete the degree I started years earlier. I entered the Degree Completion Program at MU and graduated in 2010.

After a year and a half as Director of Services at the Pregnancy Resource Center in my town, God led me back to MU’s Degree Completion Program, where I've serve as the Academic Advisor ever since. I feel abundantly blessed to serve our AMAZING students and to work alongside some of my former classmates and with the incredible men and women who serve as professors and staff members. Each is tremendously dedicated to MU’s students, mission and to each other.

Students who attend MU walk away with more than just a degree. They form life-long relationships with classmates, professors and staff members, and they benefit from a solid biblical grounding in every subject. Our motto is, “If you want Bible, you want Multnomah.” This completely reflects the heart of and life at MU. I might add, “If you want family, transformation, deep relationship, challenge and profound encouragement and fun, you want Multnomah.” Can you tell that I love it here?
