My Story
I was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of a preacher man and the youngest of 4 siblings. At age 13, through reading God’s Word, I came to know personally that my heavenly Father loved me, knew me, and wanted to walk with me intimately. In 2002 I journeyed west to attend Multnomah Bible College to study the Bible and Communications. During my first semester, I met my lovely bride to be, Tessa. Before graduating in 2005, we tied the knot and now have 2 lovely children, Parker and Rylie. Tessa and I are members of Church of the Servant King and are grateful to live and eat with many of them on a daily basis. In 2006, God opened the door for me to work here at Multnomah University. I had never dreamed of being a fundraiser, but after a month in my new role, I knew that this is what God had prepared me to do.
My Multnomah
On most weeks, there are times when I think, “I have such an amazing job!” I not only get to work with brothers and sisters in Christ, but have the regular privilege of having kingdom conversations with our Godly supporters. I not only get to hear about how God used Multnomah in their journey, but how he is working in and through them right now in their families, churches, jobs, and ministries. My passion and joy is to come alongside others, encouraging and empowering them in their kingdom assignment, challenging them to expend their gifts for the sake of others.
My Heroes
I have found much inspiration from the life and music of Rich Mullins. My favorite authors are Brennan Manning, Henri Nouwen, Parker Palmer, Mitch Album, Dietrich Bonheoffer, and John Eldredge. My favorite athletes are Pete Maravich and Larry Bird.
My Interests
I love reading, hiking, biking, singing, and playing my guitar. I’m also a longtime lover of playing and watching basketball.
