Where I come from
I grew up in south-east England, with parents who taught me to love books, especially the Bible. I asked Jesus to be Lord of my life when I was six years old and am grateful for the way God has guided me ever since, deepening, by his grace, my knowledge of, and my love for, my Savior.
Why I teach at Multnomah
I am very honored to be teaching at Multnomah - what a privilege to be amongst staff and students who are passionate to know Christ and make him known!
Current Ministry outside class
My most important ministry is being the mother of four diverse and fun-loving young children. I also love teaching a weekly women's Bible study and a Sunday school class of energetic 3rd-5th graders.
Favorite book or verse or person in the Bible
One of my favorite people in the Bible is Joseph and one of my favorite verses is Genesis 50:20, where Joseph says to his brothers: "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." I am in awe of the way God can bring unimaginable good out of the most seemingly hopeless situations.
Family or other information
I married my best friend in 1997. David is the pastor of St Matthew's Anglican Church in Portland, where we are blessed with an amazing church family. David and I have three sons and a daughter and the six of us love hiking, cooking, reading, music, playing board games, road trips - really any activity where we can be together.
