What I love about MU

The students here are so authentic. They let you into their lives right away, and it’s very refreshing!

Why I chose Multnomah

I grew up in Portland, and I had heard about Multnomah my whole life. When I saw a job open up, I knew that I would love to work in a Christian University’s admissions office, and I jumped at the chance to be a part of the great things happening at Multnomah!

Best part of my job

The best part of my job is getting to see how God works in the lives of prospective students of MU. Over my time here I’ve seen so many faithful stories of His gift of presence and direction to those who seek Him.

Favorite thing to do in Portland

Anything with nature. Though Portland is a metropolitan area, there is so much to do with the outdoors – hiking, exploring, canoeing, reading in the parks, walking along the water, etc – you never run out of things to do! Also, I love Powell’s bookstore. It doesn’t get any better than an entire city block of books.

What I do outside of work

Play board games with my husband, craft with my sister, spend time with my family, take pictures, and read lots of books!

Favorite book

Some of my all-time favorites are The Red Tent by Anita Diamant, The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, The Mark of the Lion Series by Francine Rivers, Hinds’ Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard, The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton, and Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle.
