Why I chose Multnomah
When I graduated from high school I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. I had known four different people throughout my youth group years who all went to Multnomah. I discovered that Multnomah produces high quality people who love God and love others. So I went to Multnomah because even if I didn't know what career it would prepare me for, I knew the life it would prepare me for. I was confident I would leave Multnomah better than when I began.
What I love most about Multnomah
It's been said often, and for good reason, so I'll say it again. The community at Multnomah is unlike anything I've previously experienced. I had such an incredible time as a student at Multnomah because of the positive and challenging culture created by the students, staff and faculty. I was able to breakdown preconceived ideas, learn about myself, practice leading and grow all because of the community. I also started relationships at Multnomah that will continue for a lifetime. I enjoyed the community so much that I even wanted to work here!
Best part of my job
I love being a part of the story God is already telling. It always amazes me how God will walk with a university like Multnomah for so many years and with students like the ones we work with and then allow me to just pop into His story and play my little role. I love working with people and I especially enjoy supporting those who are fighting to follow Jesus in a world that tells them not to.
Advice for new Multnomah students
Risk. Sign up for a class that sounds challenging. Ask a question in class that scares you. Sit with people at lunch you don't know. Invest in your dorm section. Apply for a leadership position. While overbooking yourself is something to be aware of at Multnomah, you're also only in college once. You have the opportunity to leave Multnomah different then when you arrived. Take the Lord up on this challenge and you won't be sorry.
Talent I wish I had
I wish I could play the piano! And fly of course.
What I like to do outside of my job
I love hanging out with and loving on the high school students at my church.
Who I spend the most time with
My amazing husband Keith! He's pretty much the coolest. If you met him, you'd want to spend time with him too!
Where I would love to live
Most definitely the country of Poland! Sounds funny I'm sure. However I've been there twice and I've fallen in love with the people and the landscape. I would truly love to live there someday (especially if that meant working for Josiah Venture!).
Favorite place to eat out
I'm pretty obsessed with Mexican food, but haven't food a perfect Mexican restaurant in Portland yet. So I'd have to say I love going to Claim Jumper!
