Quotes from the Video
April is an exciting month! We will be hosting an event here on campus called Spring Thaw, where 850 high school students and their leaders will come from all over the Northwest and join 400 of our current students for a time of worship, teaching, and plain old fun.
We have two main goals for this event. First, we want students to grow deeper in their knowledge of God and gain a deeper understanding of His Word. Second, we hope that some of them will become Multnomah students in the next several years.
The week after Spring Thaw, we will also be hosting an accreditation team here on our campus. In 2006, we received initial accreditation, and this April we will be hosting another visit for a reaffirmation of that accreditation. I am very optimistic that we will achieve it, but I know that through these kinds of visits we learn about ourselves and how we can improve. We would appreciate your prayers as this team of eight educators comes onto our campus to verify the work of self study that we have done.
By far, the most important this April is Easter – the event that really explains the very heart of Multnomah. I will be leading communion services on Monday and Thursday. On Good Friday, we will gather together and remember the cross of Christ. Since this April is such a busy time for us, I trust that you will keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
