As a continuation of a previous MUblog post, this post explores how evangelicals can graciously engage Mormonism as the 2012 U.S. elections approach. "Have you ever been in a very dark space... [where] you couldn't see anything?"
Multnomah's president Dr. Dan Lockwood began his spring 2012 Convocation Chapel address with a story about a trip to New Zealand with his daughter, Elise. Preparing for a black-water rafting excursion, Dr. Lockwood and Elise donned wetsuits, climbing harnesses, and headlamps. Then they proceeded to climb down a 150-foot shaft to a steep tunnel that led to an underground river where a rubber raft awaited them. After traveling a half mile down the river, their guide told them to turn off the headlamps.

We've been publishing posts for our 75th Anniversary year featuring some of the goodies from yesteryear we've been finding...some of you actually sent us some old gear! We were especially excited to receive this letter sweater from an Alumna who still had her original class of 1951 class pin attached! Just look at that thing - something tells me that current students would really go for a true "throwback" style like this.

Celebrating the everyday gifts from God - even the little things. Celebrating triumph and freedom from the chains of abuse. The dedication of Multnomah Reno-Tahoe's library (June 29th, 2011) marked one of Multnomah's first steps towards offering a full 4-year degree in Reno without students needing to travel to the home campus in Portland, Oregon. Read the rest of this entry »
The Washoe County Commissioner's Office recognized Multnomah Reno-Tahoe with a letter of recommendation for its enrichment of Washoe's community through its accredited theological studies, degreed programs, and new library. Read the rest of this entry »
My three-years as a Multnomah student are a very short time compared to the school's 75 years of existence. While attending a school filled with history, I'm continually discovering more about it.
