Eternity in the Hearts of Mankind
On the edge of my seat, I listened as Don Richardson spoke in our chapel about his and other missionaries' experiences in the field. Blood-thirsty tribes in the deep jungle of Indonesia. People that burn women alive in cast-divided India. Communistic China. What do these diverse cultures have in common? Read the rest of this entry »

Today is Good Friday, and Easter is this coming Sunday. How blessed we are to have both written into our calendar! Both generate a deepening of appreciation and praise to God for His provision of our salvation. We experience Christ’s love, which deepens our love for Him. Because of the cross and resurrection, we are able to experience His grace and know true forgiveness. What freedom! What joy! “We love Him because He first loved us.” It is His love that enables us to reach out to others. Read the rest of this entry »

"Happiness is not joy. In trials happiness leaves us, but joy is of the spirit."
At the tender age of 11, Meadowlark Lemon heard about the Harlem Globetrotters and a passion for their ministry was kindled in his heart. Taking a wire hanger, an onion sack, and empty milk carton, Lemon started practicing what would someday become a globally renown half-court hook shot. Combining his impressive basketball skills with slapstick comedy, families from miles around would come to see the "Clown Prince of Basketball" play. Read the rest of this entry »

April is an exciting month! We will be hosting an event here on campus called Spring Thaw, where 850 high school students and their leaders will come from all over the Northwest and join 400 of our current students for a time of worship, teaching, and plain old fun.
We have two main goals for this event. First, we want students to grow deeper in their knowledge of God and gain a deeper understanding of His Word. Second, we hope that some of them will become Multnomah students in the next several years. Read the rest of this entry »

Jason Lewis - Alumni Spotlight

How do you fit ten years worth of life in 500 words? Don’t even try it. Just describing the pre-bedtime antics of my two year old could bust the data capacity of a Kindle. Better to aim at a period of time or event that best reflects my journey as a Multnomah graduate in 2001 to a small business owner, father of three children, and husband in 2011. A Tradition of Prayer Has Begun!
Started by students on the Student World Outreach Team (SWOT), this event has been designed so that a student, staff, or faculty member is assigned to each hour of the day, 7 days a week for an entire month out of each semester (with spring break there are only 20 days). The students can sign up for as many hours as they wish, for individual prayer or prayer in small Read the rest of this entry »

Quotes from the Video
This spring, we will be hosting an event here on campus called the Student Aid Banquet where we will be celebrating what God has done and is doing in the lives of our students. We will have students give their testimonies and describe how God brought them to Multnomah and tell about what He is doing in their individual lives. Read the rest of this entry »

Celebrating the Legacy!
On Monday February 28, 2011, we will celebrate a day dedicated to bringing awareness to students about the part they play in continuing the Multnomah Legacy. Many students who are currently enrolled at Multnomah do not realize that 20% of their tuition is paid for by the generosity of our alumni and donors. We highlight this day as a special time for students to recognize that someday Read the rest of this entry »

Paul and Jan (Martin) Glazner
(BA ‘79) (AA ‘81)
Fellow Alumni and Family in the Lord:
Surely the lines have fallen to us in pleasant places! We arrived in Sutherlin in 1986 (where has the time gone?), full of expectancy and energy – well, Paul had energy and I was moving with a 2 year old and a 4 month old! We prayed that God would do something far bigger than we could do ourselves – something that was clearly Read the rest of this entry »
