On the eve of a hotly contested Presidential Election vote many people are prognosticating on how momentous it all is. We've even heard some pundits call it the "most important decision in our lifetimes." We're skeptical of such lofty sentiments and wondered if there are other decisions that actually matter more. We wondered if important decisions are the sum total of a series of better, "smaller" decisions.

A Message from the Alumni Director
“How could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” Genesis 39:9
I've been enjoying Dr. Lockwood’s book, Unlikely Heroes—Ordinary People with Extraordinary Faith, a Biblical and Personal Reflection on Hebrews 11. Through my read I’ve appreciated the opportunity of getting to know our president more. His unique blend of academic perspective and devotional application, as he identifies the cast of these Old Testament characters—simple, ordinary, flawed people living out extraordinary faith, has been encouraging. A Reunion to Remember
The Multnomah class of 1962 loves to reunite. Every five years we simply push the Class Reunion button and begin gearing up for our next reunion. 2012 proved to be no exception. It was to be our 50 Year Reunion, so we began planning a full year in advance. Read the rest of this entry »
The Art of Being
Message from the Alumni Director
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
Dr. Luis Palau (Grad Cert ’61), our 75th anniversary commencement speaker, encouraged this year’s graduates, faculty, and staff alike, as he considered his Multnomah experience and shared how God had used his time at Multnomah to prepare him for the ministry of evangelism he is involved in today.
Appreciating Grandma & My MU Days
Dena Rosko ('96-97)
Adeline McIntyre, my grandma, spoke often, and always spoke well, of her days at Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland, Oregon. Grandma attended Multnomah School of the Bible in 1943 and graduated in 1946 with a degree in Bible and a certificate in evangelical teaching. Read the rest of this entry »

Light in a Dark Place
"Have you ever been in a very dark space... [where] you couldn't see anything?"
Multnomah's president Dr. Dan Lockwood began his spring 2012 Convocation Chapel address with a story about a trip to New Zealand with his daughter, Elise. Preparing for a black-water rafting excursion, Dr. Lockwood and Elise donned wetsuits, climbing harnesses, and headlamps. Then they proceeded to climb down a 150-foot shaft to a steep tunnel that led to an underground river where a rubber raft awaited them. After traveling a half mile down the river, their guide told them to turn off the headlamps.
