Dear Family & Friends,

We walked into my local bank with 18,000 pennies, 2,700 nickels, 4,100 dimes, 1,350 quarters, two buttons and a paper clip.  Actually, we had ten bags of change and Wells Fargo’s machine did the sorting.   Students, Scott & Nathan, were my body guards just in case we ran into the world’s dumbest thief.   Students had been using Holly giving cans for their loose change since last semester.  Holly Miller was our mission-minded student who died about one year ago while ministering in Sumba, Indonesia.  Students created a scholarship in her name.  They prayed, planned and gave sacrificially.   Actually student faith did more than their gifts.  Their example moved others to give over half the total amount.  They prayed for an endowment of $50,000 and it recently reached $55,000 [now $80,000].  Holly like Abel “though dead she yet speaks”.  Students will nominate other students like Holly to annually receive well deserved scholarships.  It was a  privilege to watch Holly’s sacrificial life and then watch her example motivate the whole school family to sacrifice.
