Family & Friends,

It was the last thing I wanted to hear just before our communion service.  “You know that this juice is PRUNE juice, don’t you?”  The cashier was earlier thinking that I was irregular when I was really preparing to celebrate.  It is our tradition to end Bible Marathons with communion and the singing of Amazing Grace.  We proceeded with white grape juice.  For eight hours we enjoyed Matthew, Luke and John.  As usual I heard some interesting readings.  “A leopard came to Jesus and said, ‘If you are willing you can make me clean.’”  (Maybe he wanted to have his spots cleansed.)  There was the large cloud that joined Jesus.  (Must have been during the Sermon on the Mountain.)  When the bridegroom is taken from them, in those days they will feast, I mean fast.  (Good correction)   He will thoroughly clean His fleshing thoor.  (I don’t know what a fleshing thoor is, but it probably needs cleansing as much as the threshing floor.) A man painted a vineyard.  (I expect he painted it dark red, something like prune juice.)  Join us for the next Bible marathon when the juice will be as purple as ripe grapes.
