CS Lewis Scripture Index “is” Done

By Garry Friesen July 13th, 2009

Family & Friends,

The C.S. Lewis Scripture Index is done!.  But, if Clinton asks what “is” means I must confess that there are different levels of “done”. However, we have reached the significant completion of work that only the author can accomplish. During the past six weeks it was 12 hour days (except Sabbaths) and by God’s grace my eyes never slapped shut like the window shutters in Ecclesiastes. (I celebrated with a trip to the coast.)  Add to my efforts, the proofreading students whose combined labor totaled about 400 hours.  They belong in the proofreading hall of faith. But, time would fail me to speak of Kyle, Wes, Katie, Jonathan, Melissa, Sean, Michael, Monica, and Paul who through faith closed the mouths of CSL books after proofreading, escaped cuts from paper edges, conquered thick volumes, and administered justice to many incorrect references.  Their corrections will be recorded in the upcoming weeks.  During my July trip with family in Michigan, I will visit with a publisher who has some interest in the project. I’m crossing my fingers …  I mean folding my hands in prayer, for this interview.
