Lasting Friendships

We see it all the time here. Lasting true friendships. If you're an alum or "future alum" then you probably know what I'm talking about. There just seems to be a real connection between brothers and sisters who become close while at Multnomah - praise God for that!

An Email to the Alumni Department:

Hello Multnomah Alumni Dept. (that means you Michelle and Farrah!),

Hope y'all are doing well. I always enjoy getting the Multnomah update in my email box. I do hope things are going better for you healthwise Michelle. Please know you have been prayed for today!

Attached is a picture from the Disneyland Half Marathon this past August. I think the picture captures the love between friends...friendships that were made during our Grad Year 2004-2005 and still continue to this day. Toby Yuen and myself (Ed Murphy) did the race, and Brinton and Allison Hinz (who met and were married that Grad year) came out to cheer us on. It was a fun reunion time we had together.

During the months I was training and preparing for the race, I really wasn't thinking about the race itself but I was more focused on how excited I was to see my friends again. It was a huge blessing for all of us to reconnect that weekend. Although we are not living next door to each other anymore in the single seminary student housing, we still have the friendships that were made while we were part of the Multnomah community. And we still are part of the Multnomah community! :-) These are the people who helped spur me on in my relationship with God during school, and they continue to do so now. I'm thankful for friends, like these and others, that I made while in seminary. I'm thankful that the Lord allowed me the blessing to attend Multnomah.

Anyway, I was just counting my blessings tonight and wanted to share them with you.  God Bless you guys!

Peace!

By the way, as a matter of coincidence...Ed (far left) is also on a bus!
