If you have been keeping in step with the happenings here on campus, you know that we have just celebrated our 75th Anniversary Homecoming 2012. It was a great success full of excitement and remembrance of God's work through Multnomah and it's Alumni. If you did not get a chance to participate in the Homecoming festivities (or if you want to relive the excitement) please enjoy this slideshow recap.
As you can imagine, tracking down students who were here from our founding class in Fall 1936 and graduated with their diploma in Spring 1939 is quite challenging. Many are not well enough to travel, but in this very special 75th Anniversary homecoming week we are celebrating, we are so thankful for the special letter we received from one of these very alum! If you've been reading, you know that we've done a series of videos to promo our 75th Anniversary Homecoming week (That's this week!). Here is the 3rd video below. It's not really a blooper reel as much as it was a trick question for the stars to get them all loosened up. Check out what happens when the director (also a student) tells them to say "Don't go to homecoming."

With the Homecoming celebration of MU’s 75th anniversary right around the corner, we’ve seen a definite increase in school spirit. As is the case with any group of rabidly loyal supporters and fans, things can be taken a bit too far.
Take, for instance, 1981 alum Eric Rice, who went to legendary lengths to prove that he is MU through and through. On his way to the office one morning, he managed to swallow a 75th anniversary lapel pin along with a dose of daily vitamins (and some water for good measure). The shape and size of the lapel pin made it difficult to swallow completely, so it took some doing. Since no one was around to witness the act, he needed some way to prove that his tale was true and went to the doctor to get some x-rays. Read the rest of this entry »
Multnomah University's Homecoming Week is coming on February 14-18, 2012. For the first time ever, there is a full week of celebrations in honor of Multnomah's Diamond 75th Anniversary year.
In honor of our 75th Anniversary year and the huge new Homecoming Week coming in February, we've just produced our very first 2012 Multnomah desktop calendar! It comes in a shiny new CD jewel case and features campus shots through the months with new facts and information on the back of each month. With one of these in your possession, you'll be the smartest person in the room (that is, if there's a Multnomah trivia contest occurring).
