How does Multnomah measure its success in changing the hearts and lives of people? One way we measure success is through hearing your stories and how God is at work in you.

Dr. Daniel R. Lockwood, president of Multnomah University, continues his series "Conversations with Dr. Dan." In this November 2011 episode, he is in the Aldrich Conference Room discussing Multnomah's 6th core value: Community Nurture. He also gives a sneak-peak at a new student housing project. Recently, our Student Services department (they run student housing and residence life, amongst other things) ran a contest for students to tell them, via video, why they love living at Multnomah.
There was a modest cash prize - but the real cheddar was getting on to the www.multnomah.edu homepage and promoted via this blog!
This video is so good, it makes all of us who are already graduated want to re-enroll and move back in!
Congrats to William A. Beatty for a great production and to Greg Woodman for some sweet original music!

And seriously, this video was 100% student-produced!
At the beginning of every year, many folks tend to go through their time of reflecting on the year just passed and looking forward to developments in the year ahead. Well, we do the same things as an organization here.
At Multnomah, we ask many things of our president. Among them a "reflection," if you will, in the form of an annual report.

In "looking forward," we've also asked Dr. Dan to star in an online video series where he discusses issues facing Multnomah and what we all might expect in the future. But far be it from him to simply lecture (it's not a classroom, afterall) - these videos are intended to be sparks that will bring feedback from you! As such, we've named the series "Conversations with Dr. Dan".
Enjoy!
Maybe we should call it "Cinco de Multstache"...
Back, by popular demand, is the annual Cinco de Mustache celebration blog post. This year's celebration saw a record turnout of finely groomed undergrad gentlemen and some brave faculty.
We'll post more information in the coming days as more pics and vids come our way, but for now, here's this:
Stay tuned in the next week or so for our latest installment in the Cinco de Mustache series: "Multnomah Mustaches We Wish We Had."
