Hot Shooting Cats give MU A Taste of Their Own Medicine



Portland, Oregon - October 27, 2012 - A day after playing a wild 100-94 game with Multnomah coming out on top, the Columbia Bearcats and MU Lions faced off for a second time in a college basketball opening weekend on the campus of Multnomah University.  

The Bearcats came out in this game ready to score and score they did. From the start of the game until the finish, they made plays and baskets from all over the floor. CBC shot 45% from behind the arc and 55% overall from the floor. Meanwhile, MU couldn't hit a thing. The Lions made only 19% from the three point line and scored only 71 points in the loss. 

Austin Hodges led the Lions with 23 points and Erik Mendoza added 16 points and 10 rebounds.  The Lions are now 1-2 on the season and will next play in Vallejo, California against Cal Maritime on Friday night.
