Multnomah Finishes with 5th Straight Win

PORTLAND, OREGON - February 21, 2014 - The Multnomah Lions played host to the two time National Champion Northwest Indian College Eagles Friday night in a home game that honored the MU seniors - David Walker, Steve Bustrin, Erik Mendoza and Kristoff Thande.

The Lions scored early and often in building a 73-65 halftime lead, led by Kristoff Thande knocking down 16 first half points.  


After the half, the Eagles closed to within 8 points, but no closer as MU walked away with their 5th straight win by a score of 136-124. MU had 6 players with at least 16 points, led by Thande with 24. Steve Bustrin added 21 points and 13 assists, while Jordan Paris led the Lions with 13 rebounds. 


MU finished the regular season with a 14-16 record and will play Portland Bible College on Friday night in the NCCAA West Regional Tournament. The winner will play West Coast Baptist College on Saturday at 1:00. Both games will be held at Multnomah.
