Dr. Stanley Grenz, noted theologian, author and professor at Carey Theological College in Vancouver, B.C., will be a guest of Multnomah Biblical Seminary and the Institute for the Theology of Culture; New Wine, New Wineskins on Friday, January 23, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Travis-Lovitt Hall.
Dr. Grenz will be presenting the paper "Culture: Playground of the Spirit or Diabolical Device," which will also be featured in the first edition of Cultural Encounters: A Journal for the Theology of Culture. Two Multnomah faculty members, Dr. Al Baylis and Dr. Brad Harper, will offer formal responses, along with opportunities for the audience to respond. This is a special opportunity to engage a leading evangelical scholar on a cutting-edge issue in current theology. The lecture is open to all students and guests.
