Multnomah's advancement department recently completed two significant student aid fundraising events. We would like to thank those of you who prayed for and participated in these important institutional events. Please join us in praising God for the following results:
The Spring Phon-a-thon was held Feb. 16 - March 2. In addition to ministering to our alumni, praying with them, and offering students an opportunity to participate in this process, the advancement department set a fundraising goal of $25,000. As of March 19, our alumni and friends donated $24,165 toward student aid. Gifts continue to arrive daily. Both alumni and students were blessed and encouraged through this event.
The Portland Student Aid Benefit Banquet was held at the Lloyd Center DoubleTree Hotel on March 5, featuring a message by Dave Schroeder of Cadence International and Multnomah faculty member, Dr. Steve Patty. Schroeder and Patty effectively illustrated the eternal impact of Multnomah around the globe. In addition, the music, student testimonies, and fellowship were encouraging to all who were in attendance.
The advancement team prayerfully set a fundraising goal of $100,000 in gifts and pledges for the banquet. We are delighted to report that we received $75,014 in gifts and pledges, which was coupled with a $25,000 matching gift to help us achieve our goal.
These gifts are a wonderful blessing for our students who deeply appreciate Multnomah's quality education. Thank you again for your prayers and participation.
