General Director of Cadence International to speak at Commencement

David Schroeder, general director at Cadence International in Colorado Springs, Colorado will be the guest speaker at the May 17 commencement ceremonies. His message will be "Go for Glory!" He will be encouraging the graduates to live for the glory of God.

David attended Multnomah from 1980 until 1983, eventually graduating with his B.S. in Biblical Studies in 1985. He received his Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary. During his Multnomah years, David was a part of the beginning of Malachi Ministries, a ministry to the teenage dependents of American military people, which is now the youth division of Cadence International. Alumni Joyce Patty (1982) and her brother Dave Patty (1983), are the founders Malachi Ministries.

David married Joyce Patty in 1986 and they now have four children and live in Littleton, Colorado. They served with Malachi for ten years in Germany, before moving to Colorado in 1995 for David to take the role of General Director of Cadence International. Cadence ministers to the American military around the world.
