The Professional Grounds Management Society recently
awarded Multnomah Bible College and Biblical Seminary
an honor award in the School or University Grounds Category.
This year approximately 150 colleges and universities
across the country entered the Grounds Management contest.
Director of Campus Services Lloyd Helm, entered Multnomah
in the twenty-ninth annual Professional Grounds Management
Society Green Star Awards. The award's purpose
is to bring national recognition to excellent grounds
management, while recognizing individuals responsible
for superb grounds maintenance. This is the fifth year
Multnomah has entered the contest and the fourth year
winning the honor's award.
"I believe in the grounds crew," said Mr.
Helm. "It's nice to see them get recognized
for all their hard work."
On Saturday, November 16 in Nashville, Tennessee, awards
will be presented during the annual conference of the
Professional Grounds Management Society. Helm and Assistant
Grounds supervisor, Ron Casey will be present to accept
the award. The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention
Center in Nashville will host the event.
