Multnomah University has taken its first step in establishing
an educational presence outside Portland,
Oregon. In a recent agreement
with Meadows Bible Institute, effective June 30, 2008, Multnomah will begin
developing a new teaching site in Reno,
Nevada at the former Meadows
Bible Institute facility.
Three Reasons for a Multnomah Presence in the Reno-Tahoe Area
1. No other academic institution in the region offers
accredited Bible education.
2. Christians in the area will have a way to be trained for
ministry in their community, or wherever God calls them to serve.
3. Multnomah can expand into a new region, broadening the
scope of its ministry and continuing a 72-year heritage of high-quality
biblical education.
Quote
"Our goal in the Reno-Tahoe area is to offer accredited,
biblical education," Dr. Daniel Lockwood, president of Multnomah University
said. "We will start with adult education courses, as Meadows does currently,
and transition into accredited coursework. Eventually, we hope to offer a
graduate certificate there as well."
