Multnomah University is proud to announce its newest faculty member, Dr. Elizabeth List, who will begin her position as Chair of the Psychology Department and Assistant Professor on January 1, 2009. This full-time position is new to Multnomah University. Dr. List permanently replaces Professor Dave Jongeward's temporary position as Chair of the Psychology Department.
Multnomah hired Dr. List to develop a psychology major by Fall 2009 semester. After the psychology major is established, she will also be responsible for creating a new Master of Arts degree in Counseling as well.
Dr. List has a clinical doctorate in psychology from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. She has been teaching since 2001 and has taught psychology and counseling classes at Azusa. She also taught locally at Western Seminary, and Warner Pacific College both in Portland, Oregon. She was the director of Faculty and Curriculum development at Warner Pacific.
"My goal is to create solid counselors who serve God's people in this capacity," Dr. List said. "I look forward to being part of Multnomah's family."
