In December 2008, Multnomah University graduated its first Master of
Theology (Th.M) student, Elizabeth Myers.
"Elizabeth proved to be an excellent student
of both Hebrew and Greek," Dr. Al Baylis,
director of the Master of Theology program and Myer's program adviser, said.
"She worked for me as a teaching assistant for our Greek class in Galatians,
leading translation seminars in a very competent manner."

Quotes
"What I appreciate about this
program is that while I was able to build upon the work that I had done in
my M.Div program," Elizabeth Myers said. "I also got to explore new
areas of theological and biblical studies that further highlighted the
incomprehensible wonder of God and the exquisite beauty of Jesus Christ."
"In our Th.M program she excelled
in both seminars in the original languages and finished with a major in
theological studies," Dr. Baylis said. "We expect that many of our graduates
will choose to use their Th.M degree to teach, perhaps globally on the mission
field, or build on it for the Ph.D. Work."
"Elizabeth Myers was an
outstanding student and possesses good communication skills," Dr. Brake, former
vice president and seminary dean, said. "I believe she will become an excellent
teacher in the future."
