Multnomah University's fall 2011 enrollment is at an all-time high with a total of 938 students. Multnomah has 28 more students enrolled than in fall 2010. While seminary enrollment held steady, Adult Degree Completion, Reno-Tahoe campus, and the new graduate programs made up the bulk of the gains.
Student involvement in Multnomah's community is in full swing. The new student orientation weekend was labeled a success as students connected with each other and Multnomah's faculty and staff. At the all-college retreat at Washington Family Ranch, over 400 students, faculty, and staff had opportunities to make further connections. Additionally, student-led programs and ministries are in motion; participants anticipate a phenomenal year of learning, growth, and service.
"Our record enrollment highlights Multnomah's unique position as a Christian university where every program, from Elementary Education to Psychology, is built on a strong biblical foundation," said Director of Admissions Palmer Muntz. "It also reveals how Multnomah has expanded its offerings, adding degrees like the Master of Arts in TESOL and programs in new locales, including our campus in Reno, Nevada. Students are looking for a Christian university with substance where they'll be challenged to think for themselves and use their gifts to make the world a better place. They're finding this at Multnomah University."
"God is moving at Multnomah," Dean of Student Services Jon Mathis said. "I have seen it as our student leaders have begun to see what it would be like to shed the masks they wear and truly trust that God created them uniquely for a specific purpose. I'm excited to see our students affirm what is right with themselves and step forward with confidence into the life God has planned for them."
