Multnomah University has recently received accreditation approval for its Reno-Tahoe extension site
to function as a degree-granting site. This new status enables Multnomah University to teach existing programs to completion, and Reno-Tahoe students to complete their degree without traveling or relocating to the main campus in Portland, Oregon. Previously, students at the Reno-Tahoe site could complete up to 50% of their education in Reno, with the remaining 50% completed through courses in Portland.
Multnomah University’s Reno-Tahoe site now offers these programs.
“Accomplishing licensure of these Degree programs with the state of Nevada was a huge milestone for Multnomah here in the Mountain West,” Executive Director of Multnomah Reno-Tahoe John McKendricks said. “It represents the completion of a lot of work, over several years, involving a number of people, and I am very proud of it.”
With this status change, Multnomah University became the fifth University in Nevada, and the only Christian institution of higher education in the state. Classes are taught by local instructors or through distance education.
