Multnomah's Presidential Search Committee Hires Dr. Jim Barnes as Consultant

PORTLAND, Ore. – Multnomah University’s Presidential Search Committee is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Jim Barnes as a search consultant.
Barnes works for RPA Inc., an executive search and consulting firm based in Williamsport, Pa. Search committee chairman Steven Mitchell said he’s looking forward to partnering with Barnes as the University searches for a successor to Dr. Daniel R. Lockwood, who retired from the presidency November 1.
“I believe this is God’s provision to help us in our task to find MU’s next president,” Mitchell said. “Jim is very encouraged that we have begun this work, and he welcomes the partnership.”
Barnes specializes in executive recruitment, organizational management and non-traditional programs. Prior to joining RPA, Barnes served as president and chancellor of Indiana Wesleyan University.
Barnes plans to meet with the Presidential Search Committee during a visit to Multnomah University this week.
As the search continues for Multnomah’s next president, Dr. Wayne Strickland will serve as acting president
