PORTLAND, Ore. — Multnomah University is adding men’s and women’s golf to its intercollegiate sports lineup, bringing to eight the number of teams that will represent the Lions this fall.
In addition to golf, Multnomah will field teams in men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s soccer, and women’s volleyball. The Lions will compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association Division II.
“The Multnomah University Athletic Department is thrilled to be offering two more sports,” Athletic Director Lois Vos said. “What athletics looks like at Multnomah is changing, and we encourage everyone to get in on the excitement of building something new.”
When school began this past fall, Multnomah’s sports offerings were limited to men’s basketball and women’s volleyball. The addition of six teams will give athletes and fans a chance to display their school spirit throughout the year.
