This course prepares future educators to be effective, culturally-conscious instructors in multi-cultural classrooms. Topics covered include culture, prejudice, racism, ethnicity, pluralism, assimilation, gender, and socio-economics. The relationship between culture and education and designing curriculum that is culturally sensitive and inclusive is also explored. Course includes 45-hour practicum. Prerequisite: Admission to Education Program.
