    This course will focus on equipping future teachers to meet the educational needs of students with exceptionalities. Topics covered include: policies and laws related to children with disabilities, how to assess and evaluate both early childhood and elementary students who may have special needs, how to create an integrated classroom environment, how to develop differentiated curriculum and work with IEPs. Students will become knowledgeable in intervention strategies for children with medical needs, social and emotional needs, cognitive development needs, and communication and language needs.
