This course focuses on the roles and responsibilities of early childhood and elementary educators as they facilitate the language growth and literacy development of children in a preK-8th self-contained classroom. A 25-hour practicum is included which provides students with real-time experience in literacy strategies, identifying problems, developing a reading library, and helping encourage children to love literature.
