This equips students to select topics for instruction and develop curriculum developmentally appropriate for young children. It explores effective use of play, music, art, drama, and the role of literacy in early childhood curriculum and instruction. Research-based strategies are explored for developing learning units and delivery methods effective for young learners. The role of the family, building relationships through cooperative learning, building social skills, and developing a love for learning will be examined.
