    A broad overview of major schools of literary theory and criticism, including such approaches as formalism, Marxism, feminism, psychoanalysis, structuralism, and deconstruction. This course is practice-driven, emphasizing how a chosen theoretical approach determines critical direction. Offered alternate years. Prerequisite: One literature survey course and ENG304.
