The 2012-13 school year marks Curt Bickley's tenth year as the Multnomah Lions head men’s basketball coach.
Bickley's skills come from years of experience. Bickley played basketball in high school for his father, Coach Stan Bickley. He then moved to Pensacola Christian College where he was a four-year letter winner. His senior year, he won the team's Most Valuable Player award and was named to the Orange Belt all-conference team.
Before coaching at MU, Bickley spent five years as head coach at Valley Christian Academy in Santa Maria, California, and five years as head basketball coach and athletic director at Bethesda Christian School in Brownsburg, Indiana. He has also led basketball ministry trips to Brazil, Argentina, Taiwan, and the Czech Republic.
Bickley has directed summer basketball camps for the past 22 years to teach children basketball skills and to provide older students with ministry opportunities.
Coach Bickley enjoys spending time with his wife, Melissa, and four children—Whitney, Tyler, Adrie, and Jesse. His hobbies are golfing, traveling, and watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
