The Multnomah University Lions enter the 2012-13 season with 10 returning players from a team that finished with an 18-18 record and a third place finish at the Association of Christian College Athletics (ACCA) National Tournament.

 The Lions enter Coach Curt Bickley’s tenth season as the head coach at MU looking to continue what was started last year. Leading scorer Austin Hodges (22 ppg) returns for his senior season after finishing last year as a First Team ACCA All American.  ACCA Second Team All American David Walker returns for his junior season to help with the scoring from the outside.

 MU has a difficult schedule, highlighted by the three National Championship teams from last year that are on the ticket: Oregon Tech (NAIA II), Western Washington (NCAA II), and Grace Bible College (NCCAA II).  (MU will face off with Western Washington, who plays at Duke University the game before MU.) In all, MU will play 16 scholarship schools.  Travel will be part of the plan as MU will play games in California, Alaska, Florida, Missouri, Idaho, Washington and Oregon.

 Multnomah competes in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) as well as the ACCA. The NCCAA West Regional qualifying tournament will be held in Portland in February at Portland Bible College. The winner of this tournament will advance to the NCCAA National Tournament in Springfield, MO.

 MU will play its first home game on October 26^th at 7:00. Come out and support the Lions.
