Multnomah University's 2012
Head Coach: Tim Bieri
Tim Bieri is in his third season serving as the head volleyball coach at Multnomah University. Bieri also serves as the new Women's Basketball head coach.
Coach Bieri’s passion for the game of volleyball continues to grow and he is excited to be part of the great things that God is doing through the Multnomah athletics department. His love for ministry (through sports) has taken him to many different countries where he has used athletics as a platform to serve and share the love of Christ. Bieri and his wife (volleyball team Chaplin), Sara, are originally from Colorado. They have a 2 year old son named Isaac.
Coach Tim was an All-American basketball player at Fort Lewis College (NCAA DII) in Durango, Colorado.
“I am humbled and excited to be part of the MU volleyball family. The Lord has placed a strong desire in my heart to serve Him and others through athletics – and this is an outstanding opportunity to do that.” – Coach Bieri

Assistant Coach: Dennis "Dino" Biaggi
Dino grew up on the beach in Santa Cruz, California where he learned the game of volleyball. He has over twenty years of playing experience in junior high, high school, club, college, and international levels. This is his first year as a coach, and though being on this side of the game is new, Dino's knowledge and experience make up the difference. He is excited about sharing his love for the game with players who are willing to learn.
"The Lord has used volleyball to reveal and challenge the state of my character. It has been the catalyst for much joy and heartache and I want to use that process to walk along my players as the Lord does the same with them." –Coach Dino
Team Chaplin: Sara Bieri
Originally from Colorado, Sara was fortunate enough to play a variety of sports. Volleyball is a sport that Sara has always loved to play, and now she is very excited about the opportunity to help out on the other side of the game as a coach. This is her first year as the volleyball team Chaplin and second as part of the MU coaching staff.
Sara received her Bachelor’s degree from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, where she majored in Exercise Science. She worked as an exercise specialist for two years and cherished sharing her knowledge for health/exercise with individuals and sport teams. She is currently a student at Multnomah Biblical Seminary studying Family Ministry and Pastoral Care, hoping to serve youth in the community and share the love of Jesus.
When Sara is not coaching and studying, she loves spending time with her husband, reading, taking walks, and playing the guitar. She also enjoys fellowship and discipleship with others over a cup of coffee.
