10/4/12 – Linfield College – McMinnville, Oregon

In the Lions’ only match of the week they traveled to McMinnville to face off against the Linfield College (JV) Wildcats for the fourth time this season.  In all of the previous matches LC came away with a 3 games to 0 sweep.  Wednesday night was no different as Linfield once again made quick work of the Lions in three straight sets, 18-25, 17-25, 14-25.

MU was lead by setter, Maimona Shafir (SR) who handed out 9 assists, and middle blocker Whitney Bickley (SO) who finished with a team high 6 kills. The Lions handed Linfield many points as they struggled from the service line as they ended the match with 7 serving errors and ended the match with 51 unforced errors overall.

The Lions now switch their focus to preparing for their important NCCAA West Region match up next weekend as they get ready to travel to Lancaster, California to face West Coast Baptist College on Saturday, October 13th in a one day double header.
