We highly value worship of God in the context of our community. As we study the Word of God and grow in knowledge, we also seek to grow in relationship and to allow God to work in and through our lives. Christian education is transformational and demands a response of the heart and will. Devotional activities provide intentional opportunities beyond the classroom to come together to encourage and support one another in the process of allowing Christ to work in and through our lives, that we may learn to live authentically and fully for Him.
Devotional activities include:
- Days of Prayer are days set aside to devote ourselves to prayer, both corporately and individually. They are held in lieu of classes and chapel, once during the fall semester and twice during the spring semester from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. There are no classes on these days, times are subject to change, and students will receive one hour of devotional credit for every hour of participation.
- Days of Outreach are opportunities to reach out and serve our community. These days are held in lieu of classes and chapel, once during both the fall and spring semesters from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. There are no classes on these days, times are subject to change, and students are required to attend the entire event due to the nature of the outreach.
- Christian Life Conference occurs one week in the fall semester and takes the place of chapel for the week. Depending on the speaker, there are 3-4 sessions, one-hour each.
- The Beautiful Response is a focus on the arts and worship. This is a community celebration of the arts, reflecting the creativity of our Creator and His heart for the world. This takes place in lieu of chapels for one week in the spring.
