MBC's new receptionist
will join the business office

Denise Morgan greets everyone with a smile.

You may have noticed a new face greeting you in Sutcliffe recently. Denise Morgan began answering incoming calls at the reception desk Feb. 23.

"I asked the Lord to put me anywhere he needed," Mrs. Morgan said of her coming to Multnomah. Not long after, she heard about the opening at MBC from John Jorgeson, who works in campus services.

Mrs. Morgan has a secretarial background in banking and accounting. She recently managed an office and kept books for a small roofing and remodeling company in Portland.

The Rockwood area is home for Mrs. Morgan and her husband, Jim, and their two children: Shawna, 20, and Nathan, 18. Included in their family are two dogs--an abandoned Collie mix named Jake and a Dachshund named Snickles.

Mrs. Morgan loves the outdoors. Working with flowers and gardening is her passion. She takes day trips to Silver Falls with her prayer partner, Delyn, whenever she gets the chance. She also enjoys sewing and crafts. Her latest project is making a wedding dress for her soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Breanna.

Good News Foursquare Church in Portland is the Morgan's church. MBC students frequently speak to her youth group.

Mrs. Morgan accepted the Lord at a young age but did not walk daily with him until her early 20s. According to Mrs. Morgan, God has provided for her in every way, including the hard changes in her life. "He has walked me through so many things. The older I get, I look forward to what he's going to do next," Mrs. Morgan said.

The best part of working at MBC is the Christian environment, Mrs. Morgan said. "Oh, I love the people; the students really have the joy of the Lord."

On April 27, Mrs. Morgan will move to the business office. She will replace Tina Gentry, who recently gave notice that she will be leaving MBC.

Mrs. Morgan has strong accounting skills and is looking forward to her new position.
