Previous News | Send mail to The Voice MBC is in accreditation process Multnomah Bible College is in the process of becoming regionally accredited with the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. MBC's application has already been accepted and it is in the self-study stage at this time, according to Dr. Strickland, head of the steering committee. If all goes as planned, MBC will be accepted for candidacy by December of 2000. At that point, the school can publicize that it is a candidate for accreditation. Accreditation is retroactive four years back from that time, Dr. Strickland said. According to Dr. Strickland, accreditation will foster improvement of the institution. "This will have very positive effects on students. We will be able to transfer our credits," student representative Mary Aguilera said. "Being accredited will not cause us to compromise any of our convictions. We will still be a Bible college. It will help us to be the best that we can be," Dr. Strickland said.
