Andrea Ballowe

(1976-1999)

by roomate and close friend, Amber Moran

She was a clear reflection of Jesus, loving to all, thoughtful, unbelievably patient, always ready to help, always ready to listen. You could be completely real with her.

She was independent and loved her time alone. She was full of joy and loved to laugh. She had the most wonderful sense of humor.

She was so close to God. She longed to be more like him. She longed to communicate His love to others. She proclaimed His truth. She depended on him completely.

Despite her disability, she was so confident in Christ. Before knowing him, she felt empty and alone. Upon finding him one memorable day at a youth event, she became a woman full of joy and excitement for life.

She never judged anyone and accepted everyone exactly as they were. She was laid back, easygoing, a genius on the computer, so very talented. She took beautiful pictures (she loved to capture a sunset) and she drew beautiful pictures. She sang like an angel.

She loved to shop (she always found the greatest deals). She loved to give. She was fiercely loyal to her home state of Montana. She loved chocolate with a passion.

She was a night owl and loathed 8 a.m. classes. She was a procrastinator when it came to homework. She was so intelligent and excited about learning. She knew her Bible well and loved to share Scripture with others. She had a passion for prayer and she truly felt for those who were hurting.

Andrea, more than anything, was a woman who loved God with all of her heart and who honored him with her life. She was a woman who reflected Jesus Christ to me and to so many countless others. She was such a beautiful person -- she brightened so many lives.

We will never be the same because of her. I thank God for the precious gift of her friendship.

Andrea Ballowe: Now dancing in the arms of Jesus.
